For Lili Haydn, music is her first language. As a musician, she’s played on some of the world’s biggest stages, toured with iconic bands, and has recorded sessions with all-time great composers. When she’s not working as a professional composer for films and television shows like Ginny & Georgia (for which she was recently nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award®), she stays busy writing, recording, and performing with her Grammy Award®-winning band Opium Moon.

We had the pleasure of meeting Lili at her home studio in Los Angeles, where she was working on Opium Moon’s upcoming album, Where We Are Gathered. It’s an eclectic mix of global instruments performed by an equally diverse group of musicians. Lili believes strongly in the ability of music to bridge cultural divides and connect people around the world, and Opium Moon’s work reflects that belief.
