The Copyright Alliance and CreativeFuture – two organizations that strongly support the creative communities by working to protect creativity and copyright law – are proud to partner on the attached letter that we intend to use with policymakers to ensure that the creative communities have a voice.

Creative communities are diverse – artists, authors, directors, game designers, journalists, movie producers, musicians, performers, photographers, software developers, songwriters, and many other creatives. But they all depend on copyright protections to earn a living – protections that have made the United States a leader in the creative arts and the global paradigm for free expression.

We are now reaching out to you – our audiences, fans, consumers, fellow creatives, and supporters of the creative communities – to ask that you add your voice. Our letter states that while the internet is a powerful and democratizing force, we must ensure a strong copyright system that rewards creativity and promotes a healthy creative economy.

Whether you are a Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative or libertarian, strong and effective copyright is not a partisan issue but rather one that benefits our entire country.
