Tuesday, April 26, 2016 is World Intellectual Property (IP) Day, a day to celebrate the important role that creativity and artistic expression play in our cultural and economic life. This year’s theme is “Digital Creativity: Culture Reimagined.”
To celebrate, we are joining the President and the Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator by sharing “The List,” featuring some of our favorite works of art and inventions to emphasize the importance of the creative and innovative communities.
We invite others in the creative community to fill out the list and share it online using Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or any social media platform of your choice.
There’s no right or wrong way to fill out the list and – as always – creativity is encouraged. Fill it out by hand and upload it, make doodles, write lyrics on the margins, include images, or provide your list via video. The goal is for the globe to hear from our artists and creatives on World IP Day and create a chorus of support and celebration of our artists, creatives, and innovators.
Use the hashtag #AmericaCreates and our #StandCreative™ hashtag to join us in this celebration on Tuesday.
