As our Los Angeles community continues to feel the effects of the devastating fires that tore through the region, we at CreativeFuture have been looking for ways we can help out. Whether its pointing people toward helpful resources for those affected or toward positive causes members of our community can donate to, we are happy to do whatever we can to aid in the recovery efforts.
This week, we set aside some time to volunteer as a team. Since we are all animal lovers at CreativeFuture, we thought it would be fitting to help out at an organization that has been doing incredible work caring for our furry friends in the aftermath of the Eaton fire, which wreaked havoc on Altadena and parts of the Pasadena area.
Pasadena Humane has taken in over 1,000 animals since the beginning of the fires a few weeks ago, many of whom are in need of immediate, lifesaving care. The volunteers and staff at Pasadena Humane are doing everything they can to support these animals. While we are grateful that we were able to help in a small way, this organization is still in serious need of donations and volunteers.

Some of these animals are suffering from smoke inhalation, singed paws, burns, dehydration, and more. Pasadena Humane has been treating each animal based on their needs, providing fluids, oxygen, pain medications, and wound care as quickly as they can. The organization is in need of monetary donations to help purchase medical supplies and other resources as it continues to see burned and injured animals coming to the shelter. You can find more information about how to donate here.
As for us? We really enjoyed our trip to the shelter, though we were heartbroken we were not able to take all the dogs, cats, turtles, and birds home with us! Thank you to the incredible staff of Pasadena Humane for allowing us to come help out! Check out our photos from the day below:
